How to play the Mad Libs Generator
Fill in the blanks with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and more — without seeing the story — then press the button and read the ridiculous result. There are 12 story themes. Play solo, take turns with friends, or let the generator fill the blanks at random.
How it works
- Fill in each blank with the type of word it asks for.
- Stuck? Press Fill Randomly.
- Press Tell My Story and read it out loud.
- Press New Story for another theme, or Edit answers to change your words.
How to make it funnier
- Go specific. “A dented tuba” is funnier than “a thing.”
- Take turns with blanks. When different people fill different blanks, nobody can predict the story.
- Read it dramatically. The performance is half the fun.
