Effective date: 2026-09-03
Operator: Not Just a Puzzle, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”)
Governing law: United States federal law and the law of the State in which Not Just a Puzzle, LLC is organized.
1. Agreement
By using notjustapuzzle.com, studio.notjustapuzzle.com, or any related service we operate (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, please stop using the Services.
2. Who we are
The Services are operated by Not Just a Puzzle, LLC (“we”, “us”). Contact: webmaster@donlinestore.com.
3. Use license (Site content)
You may use the free tools, free PDFs, and free interactives on the Site for personal use, classroom use, and small-group use (family, home-school, library reading room, scout group, church group, etc.). Specifically:
- You may print our free PDFs and distribute copies within your classroom, family, library, or small group.
- You may link to our pages and tools from your own site or social media.
- You may not redistribute our free PDFs as your own product or sell them.
- You may not scrape, mirror, or republish whole sections of the Services without permission.
- You may not use the Services to harass, harm, or violate the rights of others.
4. Purchased products
Our paid books, journals, and printable bundles are sold through Amazon and our own storefront. Sales through Amazon are governed by Amazon’s terms. Sales through this Site are subject to the refund policy posted on the relevant product page; if no policy is posted, we offer a 14-day satisfaction refund on digital products from the date of purchase, provided you contact us at webmaster@donlinestore.com.
5. NotJustAPuzzle Studio
NotJustAPuzzle Studio (the “Studio”) is a web app for creating puzzle and activity books. The following terms apply when you use it.
- Accounts. You can use the Studio signed out (projects stay in your browser) or create an account to save projects to the cloud. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live).
- Your content. You keep ownership of the puzzles, layouts, text, and images you create in the Studio (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, back up, and display Your Content solely to operate the Studio for you (for example, to save and re-open your projects and to render exports). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not sell it.
- Your responsibility for what you make. You are responsible for Your Content and for anything you publish, print, or sell using it (including on third-party platforms such as Amazon KDP). You represent that Your Content does not infringe anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights, and does not violate any law or the rules of any platform you upload it to.
- Images you upload. Only upload images you have the right to use. You are solely responsible for the rights to any image you add to a project.
- Acceptable use. Don’t use the Studio to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, hateful, or harmful material, to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service, or to build a competing product from our code or designs.
6. AI-assisted features
The Studio may offer optional AI-assisted features (for example, suggesting themed words from a topic you enter). By using them you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI suggestions are generated by third-party AI providers and are provided “as is”. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, or repetitive, and they may resemble output produced for other users.
- You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-assisted output before you rely on it, publish it, or sell it. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, original, or free of third-party rights.
- When you use an AI feature, the short text you enter for that request is sent to a third-party AI provider as described in our Privacy Policy. Using the feature is your consent to that transmission.
- As between you and us, you own the AI-assisted output you choose to incorporate into Your Content, and you are responsible for it, to the extent permitted by the AI provider’s terms.
7. Free tools and interactives — “as is”
The free interactives, tools, PDFs, and the Studio are provided “as is”, with no warranties of any kind. They are intended for entertainment, education, and convenience. They are not medical, therapeutic, educational, legal, or financial advice.
The autism-community articles and tools are written respectfully and reviewed against current best practices, but they do not replace individualized professional support. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a qualified provider.
8. Intellectual property
All original content we provide (Site text, images, illustrations, PDFs, the Studio’s software, interface, and tool designs) is © Not Just a Puzzle, LLC, all rights reserved, except where another license is noted. This does not include Your Content, which remains yours (section 5). Where third-party content is used (such as quoted text, fonts, or open-source libraries), the owner’s rights apply and any required attribution is provided.
9. User-generated content
If you submit a comment, contact-form message, or other content to the Site, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and store it for the purpose of running the Services. You retain ownership of your submissions. (Studio project content is governed by section 5.)
10. Third-party links and services
The Services link to and rely on third-party services (Amazon book listings, payment processors, AI providers, font and hosting providers, partner tools, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those third parties, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty regarding AI-assisted output. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” and we do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that stored content will never be lost — keep your own copies of important work.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost content, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Not Just a Puzzle, LLC and its owners and personnel from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Services, Your Content, anything you publish or sell using the Services, or your violation of these Terms or of any third-party right.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services, or delete your Studio account, at any time.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Effective date” at the top shows when the current version took effect. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by US federal law and the law of the State in which Not Just a Puzzle, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
