Anagram Maker

Find anagrams OR scramble a word for a puzzle.

How the Anagram Maker works

An anagram is a word made by rearranging the letters of another word — listen becomes silent, night becomes thing. The Anagram Maker has two modes. Anagram Finder checks your letters against a built-in dictionary of about 46,000 English words and lists every match. Scrambler jumbles a word to make a puzzle for someone else.

How it works

  1. Choose Anagram Finder or Scrambler.
  2. Type a target word and press Find Anagrams.
  3. Sort the results By length or A–Z.
  4. Click any result to use it as the next target, or copy and share your list.

Getting the most out of it

  • Use it to check, not to cheat. Try finding anagrams yourself first, then use the finder to see what you missed.
  • Longer words hide more. Seven or eight letters often produce dozens of smaller words — great for a “how many can you find?” challenge.
  • Chain words. Clicking a result to make it the new target is a fun way to explore how words relate.
